Dag 1: Aankomst in Kathmandu (hoogte 1400m)
Welkom in Kathmandu, Nepal. Bij aankomst op het vliegveld wordt je welkom geheten en naar je hotel gebracht. Eenmaal aangekomen in je hotel kun je de rest van de dag bijkomen van de vlucht, en de omgeving verkennen. Het hotel bevind zich in Thamel, de toeristische wijk van Kathmandu waar je vele restaurantjes, barretjes en winkeltjes vind. Inclusief: Vliegveld transfer naar hotel, overnachting in Yatri Suites and Spa 4*.
Dag 2: Kathmandu naar Lukla & Lukla naar Phakding
Flight Duration: 40 minutes – Hiking Duration: 3 to 4 hours
Fly to Lukla from the Kathmandu Airport. From Lukla, we commence to climb up towards Phakding. The trail runs along the Dudh Kosi (Milk River). You will be trekking amidst rhododendron forest smelling the strong aroma of evergreen oak. Along the way, you will pass by many villages until you reach Phakding. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.
Dag 3: Phakding naar Namche Bazaar (hoogte: 3480m)
Hiking Duration: 5 to 6 hours
The trail will start off relatively easy but will gradually become harder. You will be able to get your first glimpse of Everest as you are crossing the mighty DudhKoshi. As you proceed on further, the trail will lead you to Monjo where you could make a lunch stop over. The next part of the trail will be more difficult. The trail becomes vertical and the altitude will add on as we head towards Namche, leaving one with shortness of breath. One should not increase the walking pace but rather step up slowly and steadily. You will be making a pit stop at Namche Bazaar for overnight. The people of and around the Solukhumbu region conjugate in this area to do business. There are the facilities of shops, restaurants, hotels, a bank and internet services which enables you to get in touch with your loved ones, friends and relatives. Namche Bazaar offers an interesting insight on how the people survive in the region. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.
Dag 4: Rustdag in Namche Bazaar
Namche Bazaar is also known as the Sherpa Capital. You can use your time to acclimatize, relax and explore the surrounding places. Most of the trekkers prefer to get up before sunrise to view the magnificent views of Mount Everest, Thamserku, AmaDablam and other glorious peaks from the Sagarmatha National Park. One can get a chance to observe the shadow of the Giant Himalayas being projected onto the clouds above and truly appreciate their magnitude. As an energy supplier, one should try salt-butter tea and Champa – a kind of barley often consume by the sherpas in the region. The lively cultural Saturday market is worth a visit and is usually full with traders who are trying to desperately sell off their products. Overnight will be in a local lodge.
Dag 5: Namche Bazaar naar Thame (hoogte: 3750m)
Hiking duration: 5 to 6 hours
We will be commencing early in the morning to Thame. One must be prepared for the drastic and rapid change in climate and temperature. The initial part of the trek is easy-going as it is relatively flat however the views will be very Beautiful. After a few more hours, you will reach Thame. In the neighboring village Nauje is a small Monastery for Tibetan Nun’s. The Monastery has a stunningly beautiful gaint prayer wheel, carved and painted in dazzling Nepali colours. We will be having lunch close to the monastery. We will be going for a walk to put on some extra height, to help adjust to the latitude. Overnight accommodation will be in Thame Lodge.
Dag 6: Thame to Khumjung (altitude 3790m)
Hiking duration: 4 to 5 hours
We will begin the trek to Khumjung with an early start. We will start off climbing uphill to the monastery above Thame village. If the weather is fine, you will be able to witness a scene where the natural beauty of the majestic landscape combines with the ancient Buddhist culture of the Sherpa people. After the visit, you will be heading back in the direction of Namche Bazaar towards Khumbila. The trail eventually widens as you heads towards Khumjung and follows the contour of the mountain at a slight inclince. This village lies at the foot of the sacred peak, Khumbila. The Monastery there was established approximately 340 years ago, is the head of a Yeti, popularly known as the Abominable Snowman. It is a nice place to stay for the night. It is a famous place for Sir Edmund Hillary lover people. Overnight accommodation will be in a lodge.
Dag 7: Khumjung to Pangboche (altitude 3985m)
Hiking duration: 6 to 7 hours
You will start off hiking along the old but still used, Everest expedition trail. There will be a possibly of you stumbling upon some rich Himalayan wildlife like deer, pheasants and moneys. This trail also offers beautiful views of the mountain ranges and leads you upwards through forest which gives off a lovely aroma of Juniper bush.You will reach to Pangboche and overnight stay. Overnight accommodation will be in a lodge.
Dag 8: Pangboche to Dingboche (altitude: 4410m)
Hiking Duration: 6 to 7 hours.
Today, we start our walk towards Dingboche. Dingboche is at an elevation of 4410m so that meant the trek is going to be quite challenging due to the elevation and the stones/rocks filled trail. On the way we will see forests with a variety of lush trees – birch, conifers and rhododendron and we will meet lots of yak during the walk. This picturesque trail dips down to Deboche, crossing the suspension bridge over the surging white waters of Imja River before climbing up to Dingboche. Soon after a snow white stupa with gorgeous all seeing eyes is mirroring the Ama Dablam, this is a marvelous place for a picture! Then the trail ascents gently to the village of Pangboche (3860 m), where we climb above the tree line. Then, we pass through the numerous grazing lands with big yak populations to reach to Dingboche valley. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.
Dag 9: Dingboche to Lobuche (altitude 4930m)
Hiking Duration: 7 to 8 hours.
After having early breakfast in the lodge, you will commence walking to Lobuche. You will walk through the largest memorials in the Everest region for those who lost their lives trying to stand on top of the world. You can have your lunch on the way. In the late afternoon, you will reach Lobuche and checkin to the lodge. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.
Dag 10: Lobuche to Gorakshep (altitude 5164m)
Hiking Duration: 4 to 5 hours.
After breakfast you will head towards Gorekshep. You will walk through the rocky path on the Khumbu Glacier. With the slow walking pace, you will reach Gorekshep at early afternoon. Here, you will have plenty of time to acclimatize with the surrounding environment. After having lunch and rest for some time, you will commence walking up to Kalapathar, which is the best viewpoint of Mt. Everest. You will enjoy the mesmerizing view of sunset over the highest mountain of the world. After spending sometime in Kalapathar, you will return back to Gorakshep. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.
Dag 11: Gorekshep to Everest Base Camp and back to Lobuche (altitude: 5380m)
Hiking Duration: 5 to 6 hours.
Today, you are going to the main foothill of Everest i.e. Everest Base Camp, from where the great expedition to the highest mountain begins. After having breakfast, you will commence walking to through the Khumbu Glacier. Once you reach Base camp, you can enjoy the great view of everest the starting walking trail for everest expeditions. After enjoying the environment of Base Camp, you will commence walking down to Lobuche, which will be your overnight place for today. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.
Dag 12: Lobuche to Dzongla (altitude 4830m)
Hiking Duration: 7 to 8 hours.
Today, you trek down to Dzongla through the winding trail which takes about 7-8 hours. Dzongla is a small settlement below the Cho La pass. On the way to Dzongla, you’ll also enjoy the scenic Cho La Lake along with the greatest view of the Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Thamserku, Mera Peak and many more. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.
Dag 13: Dzongla to Dragnag (altitude 4700) via Cho La Pass (altitude 5368m)
Hiking duration: 5 to 6 hours
Our journey headed to the Cho La Pass (5368m) which is very vertical and tough climb, which takes around 3 hours over a rocky ridge to reach the top of the pass and are you will be feeling very lucky and will get unbelievable scenic beauty of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Taboche, Baruntse and very nearby Cholatse.After crossing the Cho La pass we hike over the glacier across the snow and ice for about an hour. After lunch, we take rest for some time and walk down about 3 hours through the rocky path to Dragnag.
Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.
Dag 14: Dragnag to Gokyo (altitude 4790 m)
Hiking Duration: 7 to 8 hours
After Breakfast, we start walking through the trail for 1.5 hours which leads to uphill and then easy walks for a while. You will also see the breathtaking views of Gokyo Lake and its surrounding. After some rest at the lodge at Gokyo, short climb to the ridge from where you can explore the amazing view of Glacier with its small glacier lakes. Stay overnight at Gokyo lodge. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.
Dag 15: Rest day at Gokyo. Hiking to Gokyo Ri. (altitude 5357m)
Hiking Duration: 4 to 5 hours.
Today, is your rest day in Gokyo. After having breakfast in the lodge, you will start walking to reach the Gokyo Ri which will take you 3 hours steep climbing. You will enjoy the moment at the Gokyo ri and then return abck to the same lodge located at Gokyo. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.
Dag 16: Gokyo to Dole (altitude 4038m)
Hiking Duration: 3 to 4 hours.
After having breakfast in the lodge, you will start climbing down to Dole. You will walk along along the Dudh Koshi River bank. From the different places while returning down, you will see the great view of Cholatse and Taboche peaks, Thamserku, Cho Oyu, and Kangtega mountains. You will walk through the local villages i.e. Machhermo, Luza and Lhafarma before reaching Dole. Once you reach Dole, you will check-in to local lodge. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.
Dag 17: Dole to Namche Bazaar (altitude 3440m)
Hiking Duration: 4 to 5 hours.
After having breakfast in the lodge, you will start descending down toNamche. You will walk through the forest of rhododendrons, where you will see the wildflowers and some waterfalls. From the way, you will see the amazing view of Taboche, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Kangtega. Once you reach Namche, you will check-in to the lodge. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.
Dag 18: Namche Bazzar to Lukla (altitude 2800m)
Hiking Duration 6 to 7 hours
After having breakfast in a teahouse at Namche Bazaar, we will begin our trek to Lukla. Lunch will be served on the way. After we reach Lukla, we will have time to get refreshed and to relax. You can spend the time remembering the journey which you have covered during the past few days and can share your experience with other trekkers. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.
Dag 19: Lukla to Kathmandu.
After Breakfast, flight back to Kathmandu which leaves before 10:00 am finally living the Everest Region. According to weather condition, there might be some fluctuation on the flight time. When the flight lands in Kathmandu Airport, our represent will pick up and transfer you to your hotel by a private vehicle. Inclusief: overnachting in Yatri Suites and Spa 4*.
Dag 20: Vrije dag in Kathmandu
De laatste dag is aangebroken en vandaag kun je nog een keer alles uit de kast halen om deze rondreis onvergetelijk te maken. Trek zelf je plan of schakel onze hulp in door een van de optionele activiteiten te boeken. Inclusief: ontbijt, overnachting in Yatri Suites and Spa 4*.
Dag 21: Vertrek
Het is tijd om naar huis te gaan. ongeveer 3 uur voor vertrek van het vliegtuig wordt je naar het vliegveld gebracht. We hopen dat je een geweldige en onvergetelijke reis hebt gemaakt. Inclusief: ontbijt, transfer naar het vliegveld.
